The Department of Industry, Science and Resources has released a request for proposal (RFP) for services to undertake phases 2 and 3 of the program. You can now access documents through the AusTender website – Tender number CON007172
Phase 1 of decommissioning is currently in progress, and planning for phases 2 and 3 has begun. As part of this process, the department will seek a contractor to lead the following works:
- engineering design
- permanently plug and abandon the oil wells
- remove the subsea infrastructure
- remediate the Laminaria and Corallina oil fields
- dismantle and manage decommissioning waste onshore.
This is a significant opportunity to contribute to decommissioning of the Northern Endeavour as quickly and safely as possible.
