New strategic partnership with Go Radical P&A

CODA is delighted to announce its partnership with the Go Radical P&A programme (GRaPA). This project is sponsored by Equinor and TotalEnergies and operates within the Norwegian business cluster Energy Transition Norway (ETN).

Its primary objective is to drive radical change in the technology innovation, process efficiency and economics of well abandonment culminating in a 50% reduction in overall cost. With well P&A accounting for a significant proportion of estimated total decommissioning liabilities worldwide, GRaPA has the potential to deliver leading-edge solutions with global impact.

Go Radical P&A is a great example of CODA’s ability to build strong connections into global initiatives that have immediate relevance to key decommissioning challenges here in Australia. ETN has secured the services of global well P&A experts Tim Croucher, Kjell Erik Drevdal and David Gardner to drive innovative thinking and connection to the large-scale communities of practice and novel technology providers that GRaPA will need to deliver its far-reaching goals.

We’re looking forward to working with the GRaPA team as they mature and accelerate their innovation programme and providing them with visibility of relevant challenges and opportunities as the Australian decommissioning journey gets up to full speed.
