Established in 2005, 4D Controls specialize in asset recovery of automation & control components from various industrial sites such as power stations, mine sites, automotive manufacturing, oil refineries, print media facilities, food manufacturing etc.
Often these components are overlooked during decommissioning and demolition phases or incorrectly identified as not holding any value.
4D Controls work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Estimators to identify and remove components is a safe and efficient manner to minimise environmetal impacts of projects and to maximise value for our clients.
From asset retirement concept planning through to operational completion, Ausdecom advise and support operators, removal contractors through the stages of the onshore decommissioning, dismantling and disposal process. This includes facility provision, full engineering, site project management and all operational resourcing.

Front end feasibility studies for selection of project specific ports and quaysides.
Class 2 cost estimation and realistic scheduling of the onshore disposal phase execution.
Assessment and method selection covering the onshore dismantling and recycling based on specific offshore removal campaigns.
Engineering for quayside load-ins, laydown arrangements, and logistics.
Reuse, repurposing, dismantling, decontamination, recycling, and disposal of all assets in line with hierarchy and circular economy principles.
Advanced recycling solutions for subsea umbilical, risers, and flowlines (SURF).
Waste Management including, Hazardous, NORM and Mercury management, in strict adherence with auditable end-to-end tracking processes.
Environmental Reporting and Project Closure Reports in strict compliance with our integrated ISO 45001, 14001, 9001 accredited business management system.
With demonstrable self-performing decommissioning experience within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Defence, Marine, Quarries, Smelting, and Heavy Industrial Manufacturing sectors, across live operating environments or closed, redundant sites nationally.
Australia wide, Ausdecom own and operate one of the largest specialist industrial dismantling plant fleets backed by highly skilled in-house operators, engineers, and project management teams capable of executing the most complex of decommissioning projects.
Blakemere is built around engineered problem-solving and decommissioning. Operating offshore and beneath the surface, we manufacture the equipment needed to solve any problem you face.
As the preeminent vendor of subsea cutting equipment, we have the largest and most capable suite of diamond wire saws, both in number and capability, of any vendor based in the Southern Hemisphere.
However, there’s much more to our decommissioning offering than diamond wire saws. We design and manufacture:
Pressure retaining plugs
Pipeline recovery equipment
Subsea filtration systems for NORMs capture
Pipeline re-rounding tools for onshore cleaning processes
Distributed buoyancy removal tools
UHP abrasive cutting tools
And, if the equipment you need doesn’t exist, we will create it. That is our speciality and what makes us uniquely capable. To remove cost, duration and risk from your project, all of our equipment is designed, fabricated, assembled and commissioned in our own facility - under the one roof.
We don’t have the inertia or lethargy of the larger businesses, but we do uphold the most stringent standards and expectations. We’re specialists in our field, but diverse enough to think outside the box. We have over two decades of experience and success and have won the prestigious Subsea Energy Australia Company of the Year in 2022 and 2023. We are Blakemere.

Contract Resources has been providing specialised industrial services for over 30 years to heavy process industries in Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. Our multi-skilled technicians are experienced in the delivery of critical path activities, daily maintenance, shutdowns, cessation, and decommissioning projects. We service a range of operations from single asset producers to global companies requiring the timely execution of specialised industrial services.
Each service is customised to solve a specific client problem. We plan and estimate the project, gaining a detailed understanding of the work scope and critical path. As part of quality planning, specific inspection and test plans are established. Detailed hazard analysis assessments are completed to maximise safety. The use of innovative equipment such as non-manned entry technology is implemented wherever possible to further reduce risk to personnel.
PLANT DECONTAMINATION & DECOMMISSIONING
Contract Resources has successfully delivered many of end of production life projects and offer a range of services, methodologies, and systems to enable safe and efficient decommissioning, decontamination, and dismantling of plant and equipment.
Our experience in decommissioning projects ranges from complete project management and execution, to support roles in cleaning, mechanical and hazardous waste management assistance. Removal of hydrocarbons and other hazardous materials from plant is often the first step in any demolition process. Contract Resources can do this using mobile steam generators and environmentally friendly chemicals to decontaminate plant and equipment including columns, vessels and pipelines. Chemicals may be introduced in either a steam or liquid phase with residue safely stored and disposed.
Our range of specialised services and innovative equipment, in conjunction with our multi discipline technicians enables Contract Resources to offer efficient methodologies to complete decommissioning projects.
Assisting our clients in executing sustainable, safe and efficient decommissioning with our unique conductor recovery service. Market leading efficiency in cutting and pinning combined with a safer, remotely operated interphase allows for a safer, quicker, and more environmentally friendly Phase 3 Decommissions operation.
Decommissioning is an important step in the lifecycle of any structure and is often not well understood by asset owners. As the oil and gas industry in Australia moves into an important phase of decommissioning of onshore and offshore assets nearing or at end of productive life, there is an opportunity to capitalise on lessons learned internationally to approach project design and execution with intelligence and innovation. Collaboration between all stakeholders, from asset owners to suppliers and regulators, will be key if efficient decommissioning is to be achieved, including decommissioning undertaken at scale.
As specialist demolition contractor delivering services in the decommissioning of onshore oil and gas, industrial, energy, mining, and manufacturing facilities, DEMEX operates Australia wide. We undertake demolition of complete and partial structures, structures at height, multi-level structures, detailed and intricate demolition, and high risk demolition requiring specialised machinery and project management. Delivering projects in diverse locations, including remote and regional sites, we are licensed to provide unrestricted demolition services for redundant asset demolition and removal. We draw on established networks undertaking recycling and processing of materials that support Australian goals for circularity, while our values and unwavering commitment to safety and innovation underpin the DEMEX approach to project delivery, regardless of technical complexity, location, size, or duration.
