The Centre of Decommissioning Australia (CODA) is pleased to welcome Simon Kemp, Decommissioning Manager at ExxonMobil Australia, to its Industry Advisory Committee.

Simon brings over two decades of industry experience, having spent 23 years with ExxonMobil in diverse roles across Victoria, Western Australia, the United States, and Africa. For the past eight years, Simon has focused specifically on offshore decommissioning projects in the Bass Strait. Currently based in Melbourne, he leads the strategic planning for decommissioning ExxonMobil Australia’s Gippsland operations.

Commenting on his appointment, Simon said:

“I’m looking forward to continuing my work with CODA in this new role, helping advance Australia’s capabilities in responsible and sustainable decommissioning.”

As Simon joins the committee, we also thank outgoing committee member Richard Perry for his service and guidance. Richard’s contributions have helped shape CODA’s direction and foundation upon which we continue to build today.
