Trident Australia in the Decommissioning & Abandonment Sector

Owned by parent company RS Components, Trident Australia plays a key role in supporting Decommissioning and Abandonment (D&A) operations by providing the engineering, fabrication, and fluid power expertise required for the safe and efficient retirement of offshore and onshore assets.

Our capabilities align with the full lifecycle of D&A projects, from preparation and system isolation through to flushing, testing, and final removal. We ensure that all hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems are properly controlled, preserved, and verified before dismantling or disposal.

Trident’s multidisciplinary engineering team delivers tailored solutions that support well plug and abandonment, topside or subsea isolation, and recovery operations. We design and manufacture bespoke hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems, and provide DNV-rated Intervention Workover Control System (IWOCS) equipment including HPUs, umbilicals, reelers, deployment frames, and subsea interfacing equipment.

27,000 sqm Perth facility and Melbourne location houses a NATA-accredited calibration and testing laboratory, capable of conducting high-pressure testing, flushing, and equipment certification. We also undertake the in-house fabrication and refurbishment of manifolds, jumpers, and control panels for use in temporary or replacement service during decommissioning works.

With one of the largest fleets of DNV-certified rental equipment in Australia, Trident provides hydraulic power units, flushing rigs, test systems, and umbilicals for short- or long-term hire, supported by qualified technicians for onshore and offshore deployment.

In addition, we offer storage, maintenance, and preservation services to ensure recovered or idle equipment remains in optimal condition and ready for reuse or disposal.
