What
Excited to have joined CODA as a partner.
Who
The Centre of Decommissioning Australia (CODA) was established as an independent organisation to support the development of a world-class decommissioning industry for Australia. It works with all stakeholders in the decommissioning community to evaluate and promote opportunities to:
– Optimise the recycling and re-use of infrastructure;
– Maximise opportunities for the local workforce, service and technology companies.
– Realise potential decommissioning cost reductions through cross-industry collaboration, optimised planning and the implementation of best practice.
– Support a world-class decommissioning industry that services needs locally and internationally
– Encourage safe, efficient and environmentally sensitive decommissioning outcomes

Why
Decommissioning is becoming an increasingly important topic in Australia as it has been identified that more than US40.5 billion of necessary decommissioning work will need to be done on Australia’s offshore oil and gas infrastructure, over half of which needs to be started this decade.
CODA is leading collaborative and collective action critical for developing Australia’s capability and capacity to deliver technology and services and to locally execute as much of the scope using local skills and solutions.
